The Kadey Krogen 38 is a cutter rigged sailing vessel with beautiful, classic shear lines as well as other unique characteristics set her apart from the mass produced, 'production line sail boats'.
Designed by the late James Krogen, reportedly only 85 Krogen 38's were produced, most of which were a double centerboard design. The Krogen 38 is heavy with teak. The end reslut is a warm and inviting interior and a 'classy' sailboat offering beautiful lines.
The Yellow Rose is the full keel version of the Krogen 38 and is a true blue water cruiser.
Her equipment includes a 120 VAC battery charger/inverter, LPG galley stove/oven, deep double stainless sinks, Dometic 12 Volt refrigeration, potable water system, sanitation system, water heater, custom built navigation station, anchor windlass with overnight accommodations for 6 adults via the two private staterooms and the port and starboard side settees. Additional comfort is provided by the marine air conditioning system and a factory installed, wall mounted LPG heater known as a 'fireplace'. Her owner added two large solar panels to the custom fit stainless radar arch at her stern cockpit.
The electronics package is complete, offering auto pilot, two VHF radios, GPS, compass, radar, and a 2012 Ray Marine E 120 Nav system.

Aluminum mast is keel stepped.
Survey December 2014 - surveyed well for her age with no structural issues found.
